The European Leadership Programme is an initiative of the Jesuit European Social Centre, supported by the Jesuit Conference of European Provincials. The University Centre Saint-Ignatius Antwerp supports the programme in hosting the academic paper presentation session before a jury at the University of Antwerp and co-organizing the graduation ceremony.

ELP is a holistic training programme for 24-29 year old professionals wishing to work in the European context in Brussels. Drawing from a long-lasting Jesuit experience of creating establishments that provide excellent education, the aim is to help those young professionals reach their full potential. Throughout five months, the fellows receive guest speakers from the EU institutions, high-level current and former decision makers, as well as they meet leaders of NGOs and other influencers to listen to their testimonies: how values are present in their everyday life, at the operative level of work. ELP Fellows are taking part in personal coaching sessions inspired by Ignatian spirituality, the opportunity to volunteer in Brussels-based projects walking with the poor, attending high-level networking events, all while living together in a community.

All this serves as an opportunity to provide the necessary advantage for succeeding in a competitive environment with additional help in mastering all aspects of EU politics, this represents the extra mile for those that are willing to take it.

This is the second graduation ceremony to celebrate the completion of the programme by the Fall 2019 Cohort of ELP Fellows. It will symbolically be held on the premises of the new Jesuit Matteo Ricci College in Molenbeek.  (www.collegematteoricci.be)
